if the hospital tied my tubes or not? I know that sounds like a totally ridiculous question, but when I was recovering from a horrible labor experience (that ended in a c-section) an orderly and a nurse cornered me in the hallway and would not let me leave until I signed a paper giving permission to have my tubes tied. They said it would save time when I returned in the summer to get my tubes tied. I NEVER asked to have my tubes tied, so why would they assume such a thing? I signed it just to get them to go away fully knowing I would never return for the operation. I was on pain medication at the time and had just spent 2 days in the ICU. Now, after 9 years of no BC, I have never been able to get pg. I have signs of ovulation, but no pg.
Is there a "sure sign" that I should be aware of? The completely knocked me out in the OR and I didn't wake up for 2 days. What sort of follow ups do they do when the do a tubal? Would an x-ray show anything?
There is a test. It has been a while since I had it, but I think it is called an HSG. It is a standard test before you start fertilitly treatments to make sure your tubes are not blocked. They shoot dye up through your uterus while taking something like an x-ray. If the dye spills out into your cavity through your fallopian tubes, then your tubes are open.
Good luck!

What a scary experience. I would definately try to contact the dr who did the c section or the hospital you were at to find out exactly what happened. if that's not successful, i would say talk to your gyn to see what testing can be done to find out.
