how common is a full term loss? (Pregnancy mentioned)
i will be 40wks jan 8 ..... i can't believe we made it this far .... i don't if it's from a prior loss (1st trimester) but i just can't get over the fear that something is going to happen. my baby is "lazy" it never did move too often .. i can never get 10 moves in 2hrs .. but each time the u/s and stress test show all is ok .... i want her out so badly so i know she is ok ..... i am currently not dilated at all .... as each day passes i get more worried .... does everyone who has had a loss feel this way? would i know at this point if something was wrong? what are the chances? what are the reasons a loss would happen?
i have an u/s mon to check the fluid/placenta etc .....

I am sorry I dont have any answers for you, but I just wanted to say don't worry so much. I know it is easier said than done. Please relax and take care of yourself. Try to meditate a little or just listen to soothing music......you must keep calm right now....you are going to have a beautiful, healthy, normal baby.......Enjoy your last couple of days as a pregnant mum....wishing you all the best....for you and baby.....
Hugs...

Hang in there!! Full term losses are extremely rare. I have become aware of some of the statistics, and I have become one, unfortunately. Losses after the end of the first trimester are only about one percent of pregnancies at that point. You might or might not know that several women around here have had second trimester losses, mostly due to incompetent cervix. Prematurity is basically the big issue after that first trimester is done, so into the late third trimester, there's just not often any reason for alarm. If you need some help getting reassurance, I would suggest an extra visit or two to the doctor in this week. Your peace of mind is valuable.
Hugs to you! Your special date/anniversary will come while you are a very tired and busy mom, so I hope it passes without too much pain for you.

I am in the same boat just 20 weeks behind you..I thought I would be less paranoid by 40weeks..but I guess not..I also had a loss... so I understand your fear..
Maybe you can see your Dr. a couple of times a week...or rent/buy a heart beat doppler for peace of mind..but you are really ALMOST there!
Would your Dr. consider inducing you?
I am sure you and your baby will be fine...Can't wait to hear your birth story
GOOD LUCK!

it took me 8 years to get pregnant with my first, never had any m/c. Its normal, but don't make yourself nuts. I'm sure going to the dr's and hearing the hb every week, must help. I am currently 22 wks preg with #2, and I still think about m/c or something bad happen, but its b/c it took me so long just to have 1. When I felt my baby moving, it just makes me happy.
Hi Mya...
After experiencing a loss from IC 2 years ago, I just lost another baby at almost 30 weeks from Hydrops (it had nothing to do with PCOS). He was stillborn, but we knew he was going downhill and I knew of his condition for almost 2 weeks before he passed. It is extremely rare, and while my worst nightmare came true yet again...remember it IS extremely rare. I totally understand your fears...and that's natural after losing one baby. From what I have been told it's not so much how many times your baby moves but it's in comparison to his/her regular pattern of movements. If all is well with your u/s and NST and the baby is not moving less than he/she normally does, than you don't need to worry. I know easier said than done...hang in there...soon you'll be holding that little miracle in your arms...
Hugs!

Oh, sweetie! I was a wreck in my pregnancy after a loss, too. I was convinced that I wouldn't be able to keep Dominici, either. He's 8 months old now! It's normal. Hard, but normal.
