Default How did you, as a teen, lose weight with PCOS?

I struggle with my weight every single day as a teen with PCOS. I work out, eat a low carb diet, and I'm on Metformin and bcp. I lost 30 lbs 2 summers ago, but then I became insulin resistant and gained 10 back. I have lost that 10 and now am working to lose another 20. What's your story how you lost weight?

well i'm doing exactly what you're doing (low carb diet and regular exercise), minus the BCP and met, and according to my bloodwork my insulin is normal so i'm trying to nip that in the bud. so far it's going pretty well and i've lost about 15 pounds, but I want to lose about 38 more.

I started a vegetarian diet when I was at about 209. It worked wonders. I did start to get sick for a while, so I started eating chicken once a week so I get enough protein. I am now down to 175-180. Obviously my weight changes a bit, but switching to a vegetarian diet is very easy. There are plenty of soy meats made by morningstar farms if you are a meat lover but want to try the veg way.
You can also visit goveg.com for more info and recipes. I even think you get a free little recipe book from them.
