How do I know how much hunulin 70/30 to inject

My doctor wants me to start using my insulin since I can no longer afford avandia. I have used it off and on for years. But I have never been given any instuctions on how to determine my dosage. I have taken as much as 70 units twice a day when I couldn't afford any other meds. Now I am taking 30 units at supper time now.

Does anyone here use humulin 70/30? How much do you take?

I am still taking glyburide 20mg 2 time a day and metformin 2000 a day.

Any information would be helpful.

Well just to let you know my doctor wants me to use 20 units in the morning and 10 to 15 at supper. We are going to monitor how it goes.
