I used the ClearBlue (was ClearPlan) Fertility Monitor to track ovulation and it helped me conceive my son. I just ignored the warnings.

I never tried just the ovulation test strips. I think those have a more limited window for working and might not be as useful for women with PCOS. The fertility monitor helped me realize I only ovulate the first two months coming off the pill. I don't know that it the monitor would work for every woman with PCOS, but it worked for me. Plus I could also tell that my cervical mucus changed drastically, but if I hadn't had the monitor to confirm that, I might not have realized that that was "fertile" mucus. (sorry if TMI).
