Now that I'm home full time, I'd like to SLOW things down a little. Unfortunately, like so many of you, I resorted to shaving to remove hair. I'd really like to get back into waxing, but don't know HOW. Especially with respect to my facial hair. Hair has to be a little long, and TOTALLY visible if I'm going to wax. I don't want to walk around the house like a hairy monster. I'm sure my toddler would get a kick out of it, but my husband would likely run for the hills. *sigh*.
Any advice would be totally appreciated!!

I don't have children but I do have two siblings who think it's very funny to see me with my 'whiskers'. But I have found that putting on a shiner lip gloss and shimmery eye shadow takes the focus off.
Is it just me, or does everyone pull strange faces when waxing?

I just thought of this, could you possibly bleach the hairs to conceal them until they are long enough to shave???
My favorite waxing product is Alexandria Sugaring,it works the best of any I have tried,Nads didnt work for me,and its annoying trying to get it to melt into ur skin...
Alexandria is totally natural,so if u spill some,or your toddler eats some its totally nontoxic, its made from sugar, honey and herbs. The only thing is waxing takes a long time but lasts a long time too,I HATE SHAVING!!! I have one of those personal touch electric shavers and use it for my facial hair...but i gave up shaving my legs lol!! it was part of my BURN THE RAZORS CEREMONY!!
Tharaa, I think I may try the bleach. Only thing is the texture of the hair is hard and coarse due to 6 yrs of shaving. But I know once I start waxing again, the hair will soften again. So I'll walk around with a blonde spikey face for a while, lol. About the wax, I used to make my own. It's a lot cheaper, and also child friendly. Basically, I use water, lemon juice, and sugar. I spread the wax on the affected area, and then place a cotton strip over it, and well a cringe or two later, I muster up the guts, and rip it away. It does a good job. It's takes some practice getting the wax right, and you can't put it on too hot, though I found I could tolerate the heat well, and it helped to numb the area from pain.
Thank you for being so thoughtful of my toddler getting into the wax, that was really cool. I'm going to add you to my buddy list
Take Care

Did you try your bleaching/waxing yet! Cool you make your own! Do u let the mixture sit for sometime or is ready to go right away???I might try that one :-)...I want to add u to my buddy list
how do I do that??
Hope your hair free and happy by now!!!
Nope, I dont do my own threading. I know of a local place that does threading and Im going to give it a try.
Hopefully it wont cause ingrown hairs. That's why I stopped waxing myself. I used to use Parissa green wax which worked well...but then I would get nasty ingrown hairs days/weeks later.
If threading doesnt work, then I will either bite the bullet and do laser or electrology.
