I want to find a new ob/gyn and possibly a new endo and a new primary care doctor. Right now my endo is both my endo & my pcp. She is a pretty nice doctor but I don't think she's that knowledgeable with pcos.
At any rate, I need a new ob. At my appointment with her last week I waited 2 hours in the stupid waiting room for her, and that always seems to happen with her. She said its because they double book patients and she likes to spend time with her patients. Whatever, I'm just tired of the extra long waits.
I am not even sure HOW to find a new doctor. I know I can get a list online of doctors in my area, but how do I go about finding one I like? Do I have to make an appointment for something (like my regular checkup?). I'm not due for another pap smear until next year. Do they offer consultations for prospective patients? I am so clueless but I am tired of having doctors that don't really pay attention.

I just recently switched Drs, and I pretty much just asked around especially with some women in my area that I knew had difficult time getting pregnant. I wasnt due for a pap either and she didnt make me have one on my 1st visit she pretty much just asked about my history did a pelvic exam and an us and we went from there. Good Luck!!
I ask around if my friends have a recommendation, and if that doesn't work I pick one off my insurance company's webpage. I've been very fortunate so far!

I will be going to mine for the first time at the end of the month and I found him by a friends referral and my insurance coverage. But even though she has pcos, she didn't go to him for that, so I'm a little nervous still, hoping he will be helpful.
A lot of my friends go to the same OB offices I do, and so far no one I've asked has glowing reviews about their doctor if they go somewhere else. Jeez are there ANY good doctors out there??!
Thanks for the replies!!!
