Unhappy How do you handle a "hairy" situation?

I have all the extra hair everywhere it could possibly grow. However, I am able to keep it at bay with lots of plucking my face - vaniqua use- shaving all the other parts that I can shave and whatever else I can do to help all this hair- Here is my problem. The other day I was out to lunch with DH and two of his friends after they got done doing their "manly" hunting trip. Of course they are all running their mouth about this woman and that woman- well they get around to some girl they work with and how one of guys walked in to her office and caught her shaving her chin- He was so proud of himself- He was going on about how she threw the razor across the room and almost fell off the chair-- Dh proceeds to tell how he saw a lady in Walmart that "....I swear I had to look twice she had 5 o'clock shadow at 9:00 in the morning...." This goes on and on for about 5 min. Me - a usually chatty person dropped my head an just concentrated on my lunch for fear the joke would turn on me. DH knows my hair is an off limits topic outside of our ears. He was just being a guy not realizing how offended I was. I was horrified they would take a closer look at my face and then what? I don't think they know I have this problem or they would have teased me. But I was so humilated anyway. What should I have done - I did finally say something to the effect of thats not funny - those poor women can't help it ( like I'm not one of those women) But I felt like I had to defend myself in someway eventhough they weren't even talking about me. I just didn't know what to do or say? I would have loved to educate these guys but dh's friends wife has pcos too! But she doesn't seem to have to hair unless she also covers it very well. What should I have done?

First if that was my DH and he was saying things also ..... DH wouldn't be happy camper! I try my best to *get rid of the hair* as I take some pride in myself. I don't hide the fact though. All of my family and DH's family all know about it. There are days when I am not going any place and am just sitting home and I don't shave. I figure to he!! with it. THen the unexpected knock on the door. Oh well this is my home. But I wouldn't stand for DH saying stuff about others at all. DH knows how I feel. As he has talked about *fat* ppl. I am 5'2 and weigh any where from 190 too 230 when my weight go up and down. Yet he tells me he LOVES big chicks. He knows it bothers me yet he still does it sometimes. Then I ONCE AGAIN tell him about it. Yes even in front of ppl. I don't just let things slide by.

Sometimes my DH is great and other times it seems like he doesn't have a clue. Those times I choose to educate him. You should talk to your dh and let him know how you feel and maybe he will be more careful....at least when he is with you.

Sorry Haven't posted in awhile and need to update my profile
