Question How do you use Progesterone cream to induce AF?

Used a brand called Femgest which is available at GNC for $24.50 (there are 2 tubs of it, so it is a great deal).

It only took 4 days for it to work for me!

Good luck everyone!

You just apply it as directed for two weeks..then stop and your period should start a few days later. Very similar to taking prometrium or provera.

I went to GNC today and got a brand called Femgest Progesterone Cream. It was $26.00 for 2 things of it. Its completely natural.

I've noticed tho since I've put it on that my breast are quite tender, coincidence?

Dear Smorgan, Wondering if you can recommend a specific type of pc? Also, we live in St. Pete and wondering if you know a good PCOS expert? I am desiring to help my newly diagnosed 16 year old in a natural way. Thanks Kathy

Smile Confused about NPC

Hi ladies, I'm also hoping to induce a period using natural progesterone cream.. I'm really confused because I haven't had a period for about 2 years so have noo idea what day of my cycle I should be on! The instructions talk about cycle days, any ideas what I should do??
I'm considering just starting it today and use it for 14 days and see what happens... Can you tell what cycle day you're on without having periods?? I've been searching everywhere, hope someone can help!!

I started on CD49 just because I was sick and tired of not having a period. If you're not sure what day you are on go ahead and do it. It'll give you a period, trust me. I started using it CD49 and started spotting on CD52 (yesterday), now, this morning, I am on CD1! It worked MUCH faster for me than it does most people. 4 days and you're supposed to use it for up to 14!

The directions on the brand that I use says to rub it on the palms of your hands, bottoms of your feet, and anywhere that has soft skin. You're not supposed to ingest it so I would rub it on my stomach, just above my uterus (it didn't say that I couldn't, so I went ahead. I just thought 'hey, the closer, the better.')

Good luck! If I were you, I'd go buy some and start using it today!

Hey,
thanks for your speedy reply!! It sounds too good to be true, really hoping it'll work for me!!

So if i have no idea where i am in my cycle it doesn't matter?? Just start taking it today and take for 14 days should be alright?

Also I wasn't sure, is it more like a 'real' natural period you have at the end or is it the kind of period you get when you take the pill?

I thought it was too good to be true also..but I tried EVERYTHING to get a period once I was sure I wasn't pregnant.

I have been given Provera (which is synthetic Progesterone) when I was younger to get AF.

I think what you're thinking about with the CD's is sometimes women use NPC every month to get their AF and they start using it around CD14 or CD15 so they can have a normal 28-29 day cycle.

If you're not pregnant, there is no harm in starting right now. Start it so you can keep track of your cycles, then around CD14-CD15 start using again (I'm assuming you're not TTC?) and I would start using some form of natural herb to regulate yourself; Chaste Tree Berry, Royal Jelly, Wild Yams, there's a ton of things.

I hope that helps!

Oh I just realized I forgot to answer if its like a normal AF - It is for me. I have cramps and everything, but most women who use it say that AF "sneaks up on them" because they have no signs or symptoms at all. For me, its normal, but a lot of women say its lighter than a normal AF.

Yeah I'm not TTC, I just want to bring back periods and try have as 'normal' a cycle as possible! I feel like the earlier I start, hopefully the easier it'll be for me when I eventually will be TTC in a few years!
My periods were fine a few years ago, they just went haywire and now completely stopped!

Going to start it today and see how I get on :-) Thanks for all the advice!!

Hello again!
Just thought I'd give a quick update of my NPC journey so far! I've only been using it since tuesday, and I'm impressed! I've already noticed a slight improvement on excess facial hair! Hopefully things can only get better!
