Default How dumb am I? (may be TMI)

How dumb am I? REALLY DUMB!

Today I got inspired to do a "spa day" -- You know, exfoliate, deep conditioner, etc. So as part of that I shaved all of my significant areas -- legs, armpits, and, um, down there.

I have this wonderful scrub from Bath and Body Works that I love, and since I was doing to pampering thing, I decided to use it. I don't often, since it is expensive. What I didn't remember it that you aren't supposed to use it after you shave, becasue it is a SALT scrub, and can cause severe pain to any abrasions or small cuts caused by shaving. I didn't actually use the scrub on any of the newly shaved areas, but, seeing as I was in the shower, the salt ran, and can I say OOOOOWWWWWWW! Needless to say, the most sensitive skin hurt the most! I won't be forgetting that little rule anytime again soon!

After the drama was over, I had a good laugh at myself, so I thought I would let you guys laugh too -- the things we do for vanity!

All I can say is OUCH!!

I hope things are feeling better now. If it helps any, I'm so brilliant that I chose the first time I ever shaved my legs to be the morning of a class trip to the beach (to study the tidepools). Razor cuts plus seawater is not good.

I totally feel for you. Maybe a dumb story from my past will make you feel better. When I was about 14 or 15, I once decided that it would save time to shave my legs dry - and it did, but it also left them raw and hurting. So I was lying in bed, unable to sleep because of the pain, and I thought putting lotion on would help. So I get out some lotion - Baby Magic with aloe - and slather it on... not realising that Baby Magic has ALCOHOL in it... and proceded to sit there in the dark on my bedroom floor feeling like my legs were on fire and biting the insides of my cheeks to keep from screaming!
