Default How to eat lasagne

Went to Olive Garden the other day. My DH was having lasagne ( I love Olive Gardens Lasagne) and I was having a grilled chicken salad. I wanted some of his so I took only the sauce and cheese and placed it over a thin pc. of sliced chicken from my salad. It was good, made me think that I could make some kind of sauce and cheese blend and put it over sliced chicken. It might make me think i was having lasagne.

Sounds to me you like you made chicken parmesan! Sometimes when I get the taste for bad for me greasy food that metformin doesn't like... I bake up some chicken breasts. Put some sauce over it and then stick it in the broiler to melt some cheese on it. And then as I am eating it I pretend that it is the "real thing" but after i am done, me and my tummy are happy!!

Yes, and i also wondered if you could layer the thin meat like a lasagne and use the ricotta cheese too. The reason I like the Olive Garden lasagne is the italian sausage that is in the sauce. Yummy.

A friend of mine gave me a good idea for lasagne, instead of noodles use cabbage leaves, and if you make your own tomato sauce that's low-carb it tastes pretty good. I use ricotta, parmesan, and mozzarella cheese for the filling with one egg and salt and pepper.

my aunt makes a low carb lasagna and instead of noodles she uses egg crepes w/ ricotta, mozerella, meat, and the lowest carb sauce (i think its prego)

its not too bad... you just have to know how to make egg crepes
