Question How fast did Met get you ovulating?

Started Met on CD 13, saw + OPK on cd 20 which is when I should O based on a 35 day cycle. Pretty sure I had some EWCM on days 15-20 which is not that common for me.

Haven't seen a + in about 5 months on OPK. Wondering if the Met is already helping. Only doing 500mg a day, (have been for almost 2wks) then moving to 1000mg at the 2wk mark, then 1500mg at the 4wk mark and so on until I get to 2000mg.

When I was diagnosed my dr told me that I wasn't ovulating and if and when I did it wouldn't be sufficiant enough for my egg to get fertalized. I never knew if I ever ovulated becuase I never knew when AF would come. But, after being on metformin for a couple of days I had really bad cramps (this was 08/23) so bad that I felt like I was having a bad period. The only thing I could think of it being was me ovulating and today I still believe that becuase AF still isn't here. So with that said, yeah I think I ovulated on Met and only after being on it for a couple of days!! If that wasn't what it was then I have no idea what it was!!

Dx 07/2005
500mg metformin

On my fifth Met cycle, I ovulated. Of course, by that time, I was so frustrated about the whole thing that I had stopped charting and wasn't using any ovulation indicator. So DH and I just got lucky when we got our BFP on July 31. I guess I learned my lesson: stay the course!

I ovulated after 2 weeks on Met and two weeks later got my period (the first in over a year). I think I ovulated the second month (about a week and 1/2 ago). No AF yet....we'll see. Maybe it is all in my head! LOL!

I also ovulated 2 weeks after I started taking Metformin. On a 95 day cycle no less. I was starting to think it would never end. The next cycle I ovulated on CD 22 and it was the cycle I got pregnant. It was definitely a shock but Metformin does really work for some women.

I haven't conceived yet but Met made my cycle length shorten considerably so I think I am Oing.

Cycle (no Met) - 71 days
Met cycle 1 - 53 days
Met cycle 2 - 50 days
Met cycle 3 - 29 days
