Smile How to get diagnosed without insurance

Hi all,
I was recently contacted by someone who suspects she has PCOS, but doesn't know for sure. She doesn't have insurance and wants to know where you can get a diagnosis that doesn't require insurance or is low cost. I appreciate any advice!

There is not anywhere I think, U have to pay for the diagnose and all but tell your friend that she should look in the phone book for clinics, these usally go on a sliding scale when it comes to thier cost. I hope this helps, I do not have insurance at all either so I know what she is going through. It gets very expensive. Have a great day!!

I would also second sliding scale clinics. I go to one. Before I had insurance, I would pay about $7 per visit, and $7 for bloodwork. Also, if your friend has a limited income, she should check and see if she qualifies for any state programs, like indigent care or medicaid.
