I was recently contacted by someone who suspects she has PCOS, but doesn't know for sure. She doesn't have insurance and wants to know where you can get a diagnosis that doesn't require insurance or is low cost. I appreciate any advice!  Cristina |

My Mood: Points: 10,211.74 Bank: 616.45 Total Points: 10,828.19 | I would reconmend I clinic that charges on a sliding scale and if she get insurance do not mention that she is already dx. I do not have insurance but I was sure I had Pcos I went to the clinic and explained this to the doctor she tested me and put me in contact w. other clinics that could service me and all of my pcos needs. Hope thus helps

If you take any meds related to PCOS, even those used off label like Met, they have access to that information. There are other medical information databases that insurance companies look at when you apply, so even if you are not taking meds, they may find out you have been diagnosed. |
