it was luck for me also...i had been on Met & Byetta for about 1 month..then because i can be a slacker, i quit taking both, and a couple months later- boom, BFP! Def was a surprise, but a great one!

Got on a good healthy way of eating, no sugar and hardly any carbs and lost 30 pounds. Also was taking all my vitamins,herbs, and minerals religiously.

I used the Taking Charge of Your Fertility book and software to get started- I took my basal temp every day and noted body symptoms/changes. I used ovulation predictor strips as well.
I never O'ed on my own so had to go to fertility drugs.
To really get the BFP: Progesterone to bring on a cycle, Femara 5mg cd 3-7, used Pre-Seed, drank green tea cd 1-10, and also did positive visualization/meditation daily. We got our BFP the first month doing this method.

We quit trying, scheduled to talk about a hysterectomy....had 2 Jim Beam and Diet Cokes and sex one night for the month....complete luck after trying everything but IVF for 7 years!!

Weight loss and eating much healthier! I had gastric bypass surgery and lost over 100 pounds and was able to get pregnant very easily twice. Good luck!

#1 1500mg metformin, a low gi diet and a LOT of unprotected sex.. oops.. lol
#2 1000mg metformin, healthy(ish) diet and I think two days we didn't use condoms? talk about luck that time round.
Ironically, before I got my last BFP I was pursuing the possibility of Clomid etc etc because of several anovulatory cycles. My doc was fairly quick to tell me that pcos did that and it was just infertility blah blah blah. Foolishly I believed him, turns out i'd stopped ovulating this time because I was bloody well pregnant! lol. Crazy.
Suffice to say, i'm launching an official complaint for the grief and stress caused by a hasty diagnosis of infertility. I mean, what kind of medical proffessional makes such a huge life changing diagnosis based entirely on circumstantial evidence!? bah I say, BAH.
Anyway, i'm rambling.

Met 1500 mg, soy isoflavones days 3-7, ovulation tracking using OPK's, vitamin B6 for luteal phase, and DH was taking Clomid and FertilAid vitamins. OH yea and lots of frequent sex!

I got pregnant in May (28th) with 100mg of clomid, IUI, gonal F, and Trigger shot. I had an etopic pregnancy that was found at about 9 weeks. We had a shot to absorb the baby shortly afterwards. Oct 28th we had surgery to remove the remains from my right ovary.
I knew i was having surgery so we stopped trying, stopped dieting, and stopped stressing. I came off all meds because of surgery and just tried to RELAX! In November right after surgery I got pregnant. I found out on a retreat we did in the army in Decemeber. I am a firm believer that when its your time it will happen. You just need to relax. I dont know about everyone but for me fertility treatment stressed me out. It wasnt romantic having my husband give me a shot in the butt, or saying hey tonight we HAVE to have sex because in ovulating. It took a lot of romance out. But we did it for a year, and if it wasnt for the surgery and me saying oh well i cant be on meds till Dec I might as well relax and eat whatever I want. lol.
I wish you the best of luck with trying. Just dont let it take over your life. Ive heard so many stories were people decide to adopt because they've tried for so many years and as soon as they do and relax a child comes along. Just stay healthy, it will happen oneday. If not their are great children out there that need help, need our support. (Im hoping oneday when my husband is out of the army we can adopt a 2nd child, give one a chance with good parents and not in a foster home!)

I totally agree. My DH and I tried and tried and tried with no luck. I ended up getting pregnant the week of Christmas--I was working 60 hours at my job and really didn't have TIME to worry about getting pregnant. It was more of a...this month if it happens it happens! ANd it did.
