After 10 years of TTC we adopted our DD (when she was 6 months old) I got a cold (had tons of extra mucous from the cold) took sudafed and robitussin and mysteroisulygot pregnant that month. I still attribute it to the sudafed and the fact that we had just adopted so we kinda of "quit trying".

I was diagnosed with PCOS in October 2007 after going off the pill and not getting a period at all. The only way I had periods this past year was with medical intervention (progesterone) to induce a period. Dr put me on 1500mg metformin but I saw no change for three months.
I started a fertility diet in January I'd read about online and in my newspaper....aka whole milk, whole grains, more protein and I started working out more regularly. Weights, yoga and walking. Over 2 months I dropped from 157 lbs to 148 and finally got a period on my own in January. I started charting my temps again but after 7 weeks with no signs of ovulation I threw my charts away and put my mind on other things. A month later to my surprise we were pregnant!!!

hi im sasha, i juss joined yesterday, i was dx with pcos just a week ago, me and my husband have been trying to concieve for about a year, im on provera right now to get back my 3 month late periods.. the doctor was optimistic that i will b able to concieve .. i wanted to ask how you guys dealt with the stress and frustration of ttc, and how you felt when all of your friends and family are having babies but you were still trying.. juss looking for some advice... im so happy to have found this website,, thx
KAZU: girl u gotta research things for yourself. dont rely on the docs to help you and dont listen tothe crazy things they say. i was told too that i would not be able to concieve. anyways there are many things that may work for you. i would start out geting lab tests fdone to check your hormones. then go from there. you can try herbal remedies, medicines that may help you out. DONT give up! its took me 8 years to finally care about my pcos and try to do something about it. thats why im here now observing from everyones sucess. and much love to you ladies! CONGRATS

With DD#1 - I was actually on bcp & just wasn't taking them consistently....we foolishly thought we were super fertile & made sure we always used bc after she was born!
With DD#2 - I was dx with PCOS, went through one round of clomid & didn't O (needed a trigger, but didn't know it at the time.) and one year after we started ttc I O'd & got pg! I used soy cd3-7 & took vitex!
With #3 - I don't know yet! We've been ttc with all kinds of natural stuff for 29 months, but no bfp yet. I'm now moving on to a clomid/ultrasound/trigger cycle! I'll try to update whenever that bfp makes it's appearance!!

Baby4us04 for #3 your tried Vitex again? I guess since I got pg so quickly on it (and Met) this 3rd time, that it would be my miracle mix a 4th and (maybe 5th)? time. I guess that isn't always the case, PLUS, I will be 33 when I try for #4. . .and then if there is a 5th, I will be 35. . .so I guess with the age thing and then PCOS on top of that, there are no guarantees. For me, it couldn't have happened at a worse time or worse circumstances, but God sure does have a way of working His special way. I was taking BCP's....When I wanted a baby, I couldn't have one but when I didn't even THINK about having a baby, I got preggers.

With this one, I charted, used pre-seed, OPKs and a fertility monitor. Took a year, with using the FM and the pre-seed the last 2 months of trying.
