Hey ladies! I have a question for you. I began Metformin in September. Exactly 17 days after starting I got a period! I am really eager to get pregnant. But am not sure if I ovulated. How do I know if I am ovulating? Ovulation kits? Just wanted to see if anyone had any advice. Thank you ! Rebekah

Hi Rebekah! Glad to hear the met worked so quickly for you! There are a couple of things you can do to watch for O. You can take opk's or you can buy a fertility monitor (expensive, $200 in the store, around $150 on ebay) to detect the LH surge before you O. You can also take your temp every day and chart it to see for sure that you did O after the LH surge. When you are charting, your temp rises after O b/c of increased progesterone. The book Taking Charge of Your Fertility is awesome and I highly recommend it. And you can chart online at www.tcoyf.com or www.fertilityfriend.com
