Default how long

I have started taking Yasmin to balance my hormones. Over the past year i have been getting really bad moods for no reason.

My question is; Does it take a few weeks for the contraceptive pill to balance hormones ?

Well, I don't believe it's instantaneous or anything, of course.. I'm sure it'll take at least a few weeks to regulate everything. One of my friends was on the pill as well (regulate her periods/hormones) and after a couple weeks she was feeling a lot better, and was actually less moody, hehe. :o)

I have to start taking Yasmin at the start of my next cycle. I am concerned that it will cause more mood swings for me. That is my experience from the past with other BCPs. Good luck!!!

I have been on Yaz for almost 2 years now and I can honestly say that I don't think it really helped me at all with my emotional side effects. Since starting Yaz, I have also been on Cymbalta, Prozac and now Zoloft to try and control the anxiety, mood swings, and depression. I hope it works well for you though!!
