How long after your first AF after starting Met did you ovulate, with no other meds (Clomid, etc.)? The next cycle? A few cycles later? Longer? Never?
I know everyone is different, I'm just wondering what everyone's experience was.

9/07 - Started acupuncture (still ongoing)
3/13/08 - PCOS DX. Started Metformin 1500mg
Ovulation resumed 4/12/08
waiting for BFP....!

I think I O'd the next cycle. I conceived the 2nd cycle, so I know I O'd then.  I do O on my own, though. It just isn't regular.

I have been on met since sept 07 and as far as i know i have not O'd i took provera in the begining of this month to bring on AF and upped my dosage from 1000 mg to 1500 mg i think i may be getting ready to O , i have some signs but since i just started temping i really have no idea , but in anycase good luck to you | |

For me, the thing that worked was upping my Met dose to 2550 AND adding Clomid to the mix. I ovulate with just the Met, but for some reason, I didn't conceive until also adding the Clomid.

Hi gals. I O'd 1st cycle on Met, and even conceived my DD! i have never O'd on my own. My cycle on Met, I started met after no sign of AF coming for about 6 weeks since my last AF. Started Met, O'd within 2 weeks. I was even on a low dose. Only reason I took HPT was because I wanted provera to end my cycle. I really didn't believe I O'd because how could it work so fast!!
