I only ask because I started 500mg of Met XR a week ago, and right now I'm having some weird cramping. It doesn't feel like my typical AF cramping, but then again with my body who knows what's typical???

I HAVE BEEN TAKING THEM ON & OFF FOR A YR NOW. i HAVE CRAMPS WITHIN 2 DAYS AFTER STARTING THEM, VERY LIGHT AF CRAMPS. i THOUGHT IT WAS JUST ME!!! i AM NOW UP TO 1000 MG A DAY, yay!!! IT ONLY TOOK ME A YEAR TO BE THAT BRAVE!!! i AM FEELING EVEN MORE CRAMPY. HTH!

Hmmm...for a little while there I thought it might have been ovulation pains, because they localized to my left side and I noticed a small amount of EWCM on Saturday (and I NEVER get CM!). But my temp went down today, so I guess not. Just another fluke!

It took me about 3 months after starting 1500 mg of Met to get AF. But I was not having any periods ever without the Met so I might be an extreme case.

i started met in november and AF arrived within 3 weeks. problem now is the doctor increased my dosage 1000 to 1750 and no AF for two months

I started on 1000mg May 18 for two weeks, then increases to 1500mg for two weeks, and then 2000mg for one week and today I woke up to af. I am so happy....starting to feel normal again. Yeah
I started met and actos in the middle of April and AF came about 2 weeks later. I've had normal cycles since starting the combo and love it! I'm glad it's working well for others too!

Well, I have been on Met for about 7 1/2 months and still no af. I suppose I am just one of the lucky ones...not! I started provera last week so we will see what happens. Good luck to you. It's funny isn't it, I think we are the only women in the world begging for af.
