Hello everyone...I am new here and am just wondering how long it took any of you to get pregnant and what you all had to go through to become. I was diagnosed with pcos just a month ago and have been trying to get pregnant for about a year. I just got a progestrone shot and then will be starting on my first round of clomid. Any have any luck with this?
Hi there! I would move this thread to ttc board. I'm sure you'll get tons of answers there. I've actually seen a thread similar to this topic. I'd move it for you, but I'm not quite sure how. Anyway...I'm ttcing as well. There have been many successful pregnancies on this website! Good luck!

I was diagnosed with PCOS in March 2002, I got pg with my son in December 2002. Then I started trying again in January 2004, I took 50mg Clomid and got pg in February, which unfortunantly ended in April 2004, I started trying again in May 2004 and did 100mg of Clomid, that pg ended in June 2004. I started trying again in October 2004 and took 7mg of Femera when I got pg with my Daughter.
Are you on Metformin (Glucophage)?
Good luck! I can't wait to see if you get pg. Update us when you know.
Hi Carianne
I got pregnant w/ my first 2 without even really trying. But that was before my PCOS started acting up.
I took Depo after my second son's birth. Great while I was on it, horrible after I went off. I truly believe it accelerated my PCOS symptoms. After no period for a year, I finally started bleeding, and then I would bleed (heavy, with clots, etc.) for a couple months at a time. Finally, 3 years after going off the Depo, I was diagnosed and given met. By this time, we had been ttc a third baby for 2 years.
10 months after I started met, I got pregnant.
Best of luck and some babydust to you!
Hugs
Jenny

Well, all together it took near 5 years. But I believe that was because I dodnt do things the right way. I didnt know the best treatments for me. I started off on clomid for a few months, took a small break, went to a fert doc and started clomid again for a few months, took a meds break and tried acupuncture for a bit, went to an endo and found out I was IR and he put me in met to get pg, stopped taking that for a while cause I thought it wasnt working, went back on clomid with the fert doc again for a bit, moves onto injections for a bit, had to have an ovarian cyst removed and got OD while in the proccess took a break after that for a bit and tried on our own, went back to the fert doc and started met and clomid and trigger shot and finally got my BFP and in the end my dd.
As you can see I jumped around a lot. But it was because I had no clue what to do, what to try and no place like SC to get info and support from. Knowledge is your best tool to get pg. You just have to keep changing it up till you find what works and hopefully it wont take as long as it did me! GL!
Hi,
I was TTC for over 14 years before I had my 1st daughter and then had a second daughter within 2 years!
Don't be discouraged by that because I didn't have the info that is now available to you for all of those years!
I found out about Metformin and started to take that just 2 months before I became pregnant!! Now THAT is something to give you hope!
WELCOME here and Good Luck!
