How long did it take TTC?

I was DX hypo back in January 2008. Me and DH haven't been preventing since January 2007. My current TSH is at 2.02 and i am 112 mcg of synthroid. I am not a diabetic and i don't have pcos according to my doctor but i do have pre-diabetes. I started started metformin 2 weeks ago, i am currently on 1000mg. How long did it take TTC with being hypo.. i feel like im never going to get pregnant again.. we've been at this for over 2 yrs now and while i am blessed to have a 4yr old and a 2yr old i feel like being hypo has ruined my possibility of ever becoming pregnant again. Is there any hope??

There is definitely hope. I just got my BFP a few weeks ago after TTC since 2007 and over a year of 2000 mg metformin and increasing thyroid meds (now at 88 mg synthroid and 5 mcg cytomel). I also took 5 rounds of clomid. Only in the last couple months have my thyroid labs been in good ranges, and I think that may have had something to do with finally getting a BFP. I do know the met takes a little time to maximally help, so hopefully with a little more time you'll get your BFP too.
