Default How long did it take you to achieve normal blood sugars?

I know it probably varies from person to person but I'm curious about everyone else's experiences?

I first had my blood sugar taken around mearly October and it was 16.4!!!! Over the weekend I managed to lower it to 15.1 which is still horrifically high. About 10 days later I managed to get it down to 9 after following a low GI diet...a week (with 1000mg metformin a day) later, I'm going to get it measured again tomorrow and hope that it will have come down further! Do I maybe have I chance that it'll be normal-ish?

If you eat right and exercise, yes, you can achieve normal blood sugar levels. That is if your blood sugar isn't too high and you aren't insulin dependant. I am type 2 and my sugar levels are pretty much normal when I eat what I am suppose to and exercise. When I don't eat like I am suppose to, my sugar levels aren't normal. Good luck. I've fallen off the wagon and need to get back on. I've noticed that I don't feel as well as I did when I was eating right and my sugar levels arent where they are suppose to be...Good Luck

If I eat well and exercise then I have no problems keeping my type 2 under control.... but I don't do so well!
