I didn't this would be a big deal as the initial weeks were really not a problem. Hah!! I woke up with night sweats, TMJ, ran to the bathroom, nauseous all day, food made me gag, and literally felt like a ton of bricks.
So...I'm assuming my body is not ready for that. My first question is how should I try to ease into the 1500mg? I really don't want another day like that. I tried to break the pill in half, but they aren't scored so I ended up with crumbs. Is the 1500mg just too much for me?
My second question is how long is staying at 1000mg appropriate? We are actively TTC (over a year now -- thoroughly tiresome!) so I feel like I should be more proactive. Did anybody have luck at just 1000mg?

I started off 500mg the 1st wk, 1000mg the 2nd wk, and 1500mg the 3rd wk. Now I'm on 1700mg.
I was expierancing the same side effects as you, for several weeks. But now I'm fine. No problems at all. I guess once I learned what to eat and not to eat I was fine.
But when I first started, I had no appetite, food made me sick think about it, or jus smelling it. The nausea was nothing I have ever expierianced in my life, it was so bad. And the bloating was killer.
I think I went throught this for at least a month. I would say hang in there. I don't know how many times, I wanted to stop taking it. But I stuck it out, and eventually the side effects went away. Everyday I feel fine, with no problems.
I've heard the average dose is 1500mg. I would be on that or higher if I were you. I'm not sure if 1000mg would be enough for ya.
Hang in there, and take care,

I was thinking about going back to 500mg as now the 1000mg/day thing is getting old fast -- I still haven't bounced back from the 1500mg nightmare, so I was contemplating going back to the low dose. But alas, I shall stick it out at 1000mg for the duration of this week and start in with the 1500mg next week. Any tricks to staying at the 1500mg level? I was so bowled over by it that I can't conceivably do that everyday...
I would say the bloating and being extremely tired are the worst s/e so far from the 1000mg. Will this ever go away? My boobs are so big I could set my plate on them and eat dinner (but I'm nauseous!). And all of my symptoms are actually worse now than prior to starting -- is this normal? My facial and body hair are horrendous and the acne situation, which was previously stabilized, is now creeping back...ugh.
