I have been 21 months w/out af. I have always had to induce af w/ prometrium. I decided to try NPC since I dont have insuance at the moment. I am on my 13th day of taking it. So, do I take it for 14 days or take it until af shows?? Should I continue NPC for a couple of cycle before ttc or go ahead?? I have never temp'd or charted, should I start doing that now?? I am so confused!! Any advice would be great!! TIA!

I don't know the answers to all of your questions but here is a great thread that should help. I do know that you have to stop the NPC in order to get AF. So, I would say to do it for 14 days and then stop and you should get AF anywhere from 3-10 after.
If you still don't get AF after 14 days, wait 14 more days, then try using it for 21 days or until AF comes. I had to use it for about 5 months before I got AF (I used it between 14 and 21 days each time). Just be sure and rest for at least 7 days before you start again if you go a full 21 days.

Thanks, af is still here...kinda. TMI: when I was first spotting it was bright to dark red, now I am spotting again but it is light brown. I am assuming that it is just old blood. I just thought it would be more of a flow since it had been so long. Maybe I should wait and see how next month goes. Should I assume that af wont come and just start the NPC on the first of Sep. like I did this month or wait? I am so confused....help!

Jennifer~ It sounds to me like AF is trying to come. Have you stopped using the NPC? If not, stop using it and wait a few days to see if it is really AF. Chances are it is. Best of luck! Feel free to ask any questions in the NPC thread that Nicole posted, it's got tons of great info there!
