how long do you have to be on met

before it starts working to help conceive? I just restarted my met and I am wondering on how long it will take to start working. We want to start trying for a child but I miscarried this last week and it was a suprise to us and now we really want to try to have another baby. So I am on 2000mg of met which i started today and was wondering how long will it take before its safe for me to conceive?

Last year I got pregnant after one month of metformin 1500 mg. TTC #2 so back on met again for 3 weeks now. I hope it will work again

I think it only takes like 4-6 weeks to get the optimum effects. You may have to increase your dosage over time as well, so it's definitely going to be an individual thing. Met is safe (actually it protects you from miscarriage) so you don't have to wait to try to conceive.
