My doctor had me take provera right after I had started met to start a new cycle. I am now at 1000mg and still towards the beginning of this cycle. It seems like a lot of people just take met and keep upping the dose until they get AF? Is this correct or am I reading things wrong. I am wondering if I am supposed to take Provera again at 30 days like I did last time.

When is your next checkup with your Dr.? From what I understand it is safe to go three months without af so I would say give it a little bit to see if af will come on its own. If not then take provera unless your Dr. feels otherwise. I took provera one month after starting met, which I started on 7/15 so this I just started my "first cycle". I hope to get af, but my bigger hope is to have af and "o" this month. Good luck to you. Oh, my next dr. appt is the beginning of Oct. so I am going to see if we should crank me up to 2000 mg of met...that is, unless something miraculous happens between now and then.
