I guess it depends on what result your waiting to see. Each person is different and will see results at different doses. I am on 2,000 mg a day. I was already having monthly AF. I feel like i am losing weight but fear stepping on the scale.

I agree. By "being working" what do you mean?

I am currently taking 2000mg of the regular met.

I’ve been on 1000 MG of MET for almost a month, I have started to lose some weight with diet & exercise too of course but have not gotten AF yet. My acne got a little bad the 1st 2 weeks or so but now it is starting to clear up a little, other then that I haven't noticed any changes.

I've always had AF but between 30-40 days in between. I was on 500mg for a week and a half and she showed up right at 28 days. The next one was 25 days and it feels like she's stopping by again soon and it's only been 11 days. I am not ttc so I want her to go away!!

My chin hairs also stopped within 2 weeks. I couldn't believe the difference. No need to pluck everyday.

When on the right amount . . . within days of starting. This time, when I upped to 2000 mg . . . she came within the week.

I have started and stopped Met 3-4 times in my life; for me, each time AF came within the week of hitting the dosage amount.

I've been on met for about six weeks, and it looks like AF is going to make an appearance today, so I'm very excited - have only had one af since quitting bcp in Nov, and that one came from provera in January. So I'm not sure if it's the met that's helping or if it's just that estrogen-induced breakthrough bleeding. Either way, I'll take it and hope that it's a sign of things to come!!

To keep her away for the wedding, I'd suggest talking to your doc about a month of bcp.
