Question How long does it take to Vitex to kick in?

I've been on it for about a week and a half, and fell some twinges here and there, plus my back is killing me (it always starts before af comes). I was wondering if it varies, and if it takes weeks or months. Thanks.

Smile vitex

ive just started on vitex and was wondering how long before you got a result too, ive read that you need to give it 4 or 5 cycles for it to kick in but other articles say you should give it 3 cycles, so im unsure too.

I think that vitex is different for everybody. For myself it took 2 weeks before it kicked in, then AF was regular at 31 days.

The month after I got prego, I just thought that AF was late as I had missed a couple days here and there and this was the same thing as the bc pill - if I missed the pill a couple days, AF would be late, right. Well not for me AF was late due to being preg.

My sister's girlfriend started taking vitex, within 1 month she had AF for the first time in one year.

From everything that I have read it can take up to 3 months for vitex to kick in.

Default vitex

Well, it varies so much depending on the person and the dosage. I have read I think everyones comments on this board regarding vitex and my own vitex journey. When I started after 2 weeks I had o twinges. No af. Next month no o twinges but I got af. I think the best scenario I heard was one gal on here who went from 50 day cycles to 40 to 30 to preg. If I remember right the whole process for her took like 10 months. Be patient. If you stick with it, it should work for you. I know it will for me because the last time I had af on my own without provera was 10+ years ago!! Wohoooooo I think I will stick it out.

Let us know how it goes!!
