Yep, sound familiar. Mine usually last 1-2 weeks, and then I have to deal with the purple scar.

Yes, mine last for at least a week. I try not to pick at them, but I always do, and then it takes longer for them to heal. Sometimes at night I put some neosporin on them and slap on one of those little "dot" bandaids. I sleep with this on. I think it seems to help the surface skin heal faster.

Dear Cysters,
Don't want to frighten any of you, but my chin is lumpy still, after 20 years.
Hope all your lumps go away!

Take care,
Inga

Ladies, There is a medication that was working great on my cysts, called Benzaclin. I am prego so I had to stop using it & I miss it terribly. My cysts last 1-2 weeks but with the medicine the cysts would be gone in 2-3 days.

See if your doctor will prescribe or you could go to a dermatologist & they should prescribe.

Good Luck!!

Tammy

A huge dab of 2% BHA cream or benzoil peroxide on top at night helps (cleans out the pore and disinfects) if you start it right when they first appear. Applied after DH turned off lights and went to bed

I used to have at least one on my jawline every month, but now I don't due to saw palmetto. I think I may compose a love poem to that herb...

I was wondering... are any of you taking Met? I just started taking it about two weeks ago, and since then I have started getting really painful acne cysts in the weirdest places... they are mostly along my hairline and neck, and I have a couple starting on my chin. Has anyone else experienced this since starting Met?

Best,
Jen

Hmm, that is very interesting. I had a lot of trouble with acne all my life but now that you mention it, it did seem particulary painful just after I started the met.

The good news is, now that I've been on the met for a month, my acne seems greatly improved!! I just noticed that it seems that I only have 2-3 small bumps on my face. It hasn't been this good since I was pregnant
