Tonight I mentioned to hubby that I've started measuring the length of my PMS and I've found that my PMS lasts 12-15 days (first week: irritability, bloating, acne, breast tenderness, skin sensitivity, cramps Second week: insomnia, hot flashes, fatigue, IBS flare ups, lower back pain added) It finally ends the 2nd day of AF. And hubby said "Is that normal?!"
So I'm wondering, is it?? What is your PMS like?

Ooops sorry. I didn't finish answering what it's like. Well, I have MAJOR lower back pains, feel like I fell off a building.( DH did some major massaging this morning) bloatedness, achy boob syndrom, very cranky!, and that "don't you dare even try "it" additude. Which he better take seriously!
Okay, glad I'm not the only one here. April72, Back pain! I forgot to mention that one. The first week of PMS is basically what I wrote in my original post (plus itchiness all over my body--ugh)then the 2nd week back pain, hot flashes, insomnia, rotten IBS, fatigue, and worse cramps start in. I think the worst symptom is extreme irritability. I've become much better the older I get at controlling it, but hubby mentioned tonight when I was telling him this that he's noticed that we have always gotten along extremely well for 2 weeks of every month, and we spend the other 2 weeks with tension and arguing.

Mine is about a week before AF. I get irritable and grouchy. The two days before AF I'm incredibly emotional, quick to cry, whether it's out of sadness or happiness. Once my cycle actually starts I feel pretty calm emotionally. I generally feel very peaceful during AF, although I don't know why.

I started experiencing PMS after going on Met. It took me several days to figure out what was going on...I also wondered if my anti-depressants weren't working.
I've noticed I have it for only 1-2 days, on usually the Tuesday or Wednesday before my period. I get extremely irritated by little things that normally "roll off my back." Or sometimes I will see or hear something or someone that bugs me, and I'll start thinking really mean grouchy thoughts! By the time my period has started I've "simmered down"!

Mine is usually a week- I get a bloated stomach and my boobs get much bigger and very sore! I quite often get bad headaches and can get a tad cranky with DH and kids.
