Default How long to get AF after Provera?

How long did it take for AF to show when you took Provera?

I took my last pill Wednesday, and I've felt crampy and moody for 2 days, but still no AF.

At what point would you give up and start harassing your doc?

Even fertility friend says I shoulda had a cycle by now. After 100 days it made me start a new chart! LOL!

My doctor always says and also the slip you get with the provera says 3 to 10 days after the last pill you take you should get AF. I get it about 3 days later. Hope this helps.

When I took Provera I always had to wait about 7 to 10 days til my af arrived. I was always waiting impatiently. I am not sure why it always took me so long to start after the Provera, but I could always count on at least a seven day wait.

There has been a few times that it took 12 and 14 days to finally get AF!!! It was such a pain, especially when I was awaiting that AF to start fertility treatments and tests...Dont worry, it will come!

I would say, if it doesnt come after 12 days, and at the very latest, 2 weeks, let your Dr. know. That way, he or she could maybe try Progesterone I.M. which is stronger.

Both times I took Provera it was 10mg for 10 days and AF would show up about two-three days later. I always noticed I was much more irritable during the Provera cycles.

Default zaiser...

So, zaiser, did you start af while you were still taking provera? Or were u just taking it for 5 days? I'm trying to figure out if it's possible to get AF while still taking provera to make u have it... I have 10 mg for 10 days perscribed to me & I was supposed to take it the first 10 days of June, but I haven't started yet due to the fear of starting my period before the 10 days of school, & I get out of school on the 10th & have to have it after that because I would refuse to have my first period ever during the week of exams! lol. Sorry if that didn't make sense, I'm bad at explaining things.

Ok, thanks. Yea, I trust her but I only saw her once & we just talked & stuff, so.... I think I'll start taking it tomorrow or something since it's a Friday, if I have any symptoms I'll get 'em over the weekend, when I start my 3 pills a day of Metformin, oh baby. So exciting. Oh, and I'm so sorry about that school incident I would have died!
