Default How long on met before normal cycles?

Hi,

I have been on met now for approx. 4 months. I got my first AF since being on met last month (3 months after starting met). (it was actually AF following an early MC). It is now around CD33 or so and no sign of O or AF, so obviously it is another long cycle. How long does it take before I will see two or more somewhat normal consecutive cycles? I know it differs person to person but I am interested in hearing about other people's experiences. Thanks!

Your story sounds like mine! I waited about 11 weeks to get my first period and after that I had 2 cycles of 28 days...I thought I was set. But then they started lengthening again...up to 66+ days! I found they didn't get regular until I started eating to control my insulin over a year after I started the drug. The diet aspect was just huge and I read that you can actually counter-act the meds if you don't keep your insulin controlled. The last 3 years on the IR diet my periods have been 28-32 days like clockwork, so I would consider that aspect of you aren't already.

Good luck!
