Question how long on met til your cycles regulated?

I'm pretty sure my period was due on the 13th. If my o was a little later than i expected, i still should have menstruated by now. It's only my second month, is this typical?

It took me about 60 days at 1000 mg to get AF, then it was really regular at about every 32 days. I didn't O on my own, though, so my doctor added Clomid on the third month, and I did get pg.

Good luck! Crossing fingers for you!

Ambien CR, 12.5 mg. Yep, I'm an addict!
Effexor XR, 150 mg.
Metformin, 1000 mg.

One round 50 mg Clomid cd 5-9 + 500 mg Met = SURPRISE BFP after being told O hadn't happened!!!

Aidyn Charlotte was born via planned c-section on February 7, 2007--exactly one year to the day after my diagnosis!

I've been on 1500mg of metformin for about 3 months and I still haven't regulated. I'm really getting discouraged too.

Since starting met, I had a ~90 cycle and then induced my period with provera. I'm now on day 18 of my cycle and I'm pretty sure I haven't ovulated and haven't seen a temperature shift yet. I guess I have to keep my fingers crossed for my next cycle.

I'm still waiting for AF. About to start provera. I am really disappointed it didn't work to jumpstart AF for me. Maybe we are just one of the ones it takes a little longer for.

Ok, offically haven't had af in over a month. Very Very Very Very discouraged.
DH is taking a male fertility test today, hope that reads well.
OPK's haven't show a surge at all for april and I'm really scared about the next step, guys....esp since my older sister just announced she's having twins and my ex bf and his wife just welcomed their first child today.
In my family, we will have 6 new babies in 2008 from siblings and cousins. My mom wants me to ignore it as best I can, but it's kinda hard when you're knee deep in placenta!!!

I just started Met in January, 1000mg a day. This week my doctor upped me to 2000mg. I haven't had AF in a few years, so hopefully this will help. I am really wondering if she should start me on Clomid to to help get the pregnancy thing going a little faster. Any advice or should I just sit on it for a few more months before asking about clomid?

I came of Dianette in Sept and had first AF beg Jan and then next one last month (111 days). I started taking Met 1000mg (prescribed by my GP) in March so not sure if that helped with last AF but when i saw RE couple of weeks ago she said that 1000mg was only meant to be a first step dose before increasing and that it wouldn't really have much affect at all.

She has now increased the Met to 2000mg and wants me to stay on that dose until end August before considering Clomid. She says that if i haven't got reg cycles of approx 28-35 days by then, then it prob won't help by itself and i will need Clomid to try and trigger ovulation.

However i am only 1 stone over ideal weight so may be different if i had more to lose.

At the moment i figure anything less than an 111 day cycle has to be an improvement and ovulation a distant dream.

I was on Met for two years and I got maybe one period the whole time (same as I always got, about once a year or less). I was on 1500.

Default Met

I was already getting AF a few times after coming of BCP's but was not ovulating. I stayed regular on the first cycle with Met and did ovulate the first cycle. I am on my second cycle with Met and got a posative OPK this time and am now over a week late with AF. Havne't gotten a BFP yet though. I am on 1500 mg.

well, here's some good news: AF made her grand debut last night!!
Heavier than I ever had while on BCP, but it's been that way since we started TTC bc it comes so erratically. Also good news: male fertility test showed Ian is chock full'o'spermies ready to swim!!
So here goes, maybe we'll have some better news in a month or two.

I am on Met 500mg once a day for 4 months and I'm still not regular. I've had my period once in about a year. ( just got diagnosed end of last year). I'm hoping it works because I know it cant be healthy with no period for this long. Best of luck !
