How long Provera How long do you take provera? It was prescribed for me for 10 days, but I have seen a lot of people who take it for 5. I really am in a hurry because DH is leaving for a few months soon so I want to have a shot or two before he leaves!

You're Doctor might of decided to put you on a 10 day dosage of provera. Mine put me on a 5 day dosage. Each doctor decides differently due to your past medical history. Good luck dear!
Also, mind if i ask why DH is leaving? What are you on provera for?

I have taken it and had it prescribed both ways. Works the same for me so I only take it 5 days.

I took it for 10 days and then didn't actually get AF until 10 days after the last pill. Good luck!!

I take it for 10 days. I actually got AF the last day of the provera this time around.

Just wanted to say that I only took provera for 5 days and then 3 days later I had full on AF.
