Hello all, I am new to this whole PCOS thing: diagnosed about a six weeks ago. I've been taking Met for a month or so and on my full dose of 1500 mg/day (500 mg 3x per day) for about three weeks. I feel much better, besides being tired and having stomach issues.

However, the thing I am most anticipating is my period regulating. It's been extremely irregular (once every three months or so) for the past year. How long should I expect to wait until this returns? I'm not sure if I should go back to the doctor or give it more time. The stomach issues have also been giving me bad problems; sometimes it feels like my insides are being churned. I'm just trying to decide if Met's right for me. Any advice and personal experiences would be greatly appreciated!

I take 1000mg of met a day. My stomach has been churning and I am tired alot also. I have also been taking BCP but recently went off of them to see how Met is going to work. I wouls say stick with it, Met does seem to help.
