Default How long till you try again?

I was just wondering how long you are planning to wait before trying to conceive again. My dr. suggested we use birth control for 4 months but I've heard one cycle. What are your drs. telling you?

Your body really only needs one rest cycle to heal physically if you m/c'd naturally but a lot of drs want their patients to wait a few months in order to heal emotionally. The first time I m/c'd, I waited three months because I wasn't ready but after the last two I only waited one cycle. HTH.

I had a D&C done 4/8/04. I was 11w5d. My Dr. said wait a coulple of months. I have PCOS, so 4 months may really only be 2 cycles. I will wait thru one cycle, then attempt another pregnancy whenever I ovulate next. It took 6 years so conceive our Daughter, and we had been trying for 18 months to conceive this last time. So, if it even happens again, I doubt it will be before the 4 month mark. Good luck,
Julie

When I had my D & C I was told to wait 6 weeks and start over. We did and then I waited till the Jan to start treatments again. Hope this has helped.

I had my d&c on 4/9/04. My ob-gyn said to wait 3 months. My re said to wait until I get a new cycle. I thik it depends on how far along you were. I was 6wks 4days, and the doctor. I am listening to my re. I trust both doctors, but he is a specialist, so I do anything he says. He said that when my hcg gets to 0, it was 96.5 last Mon., I go again this Thur., that I shoud get af in 5 weeks. Mine has never come on it's own though, so I will take provera in 5 weeks, then I go on clomid 100mg cd 5-9 and have u/s on cd 13.

The best thing to do, regardless of what any doctor tells you, is to listen to your heart. You will know when you are ready.

I had my d&c on 3/5/04 and I'm now 8 weeks post surgery. I have to go back friday for results of bloodwork but, my dr wants me to get on bcp for 6 months so that my cyst will go away, so that I get my weight down, and my hormones under control. I have not had af.
