Default How long until side effects started?

I'm brand new here, was dx this week and started the met last night. So far just some rumbling in the tummy and not really hungry. I also have IBS so am terrified that the diarrhea is going to hit me... but would it have already hit me by now? I took the 500 mg pill about 18 hours ago, so thought it would have started by now. How long did it take for your side effects to kick in?

For me it was about a week in 1500 mg. They stopped overnight a year later when I started eating to control my insulin..the insulin spikes are what tend to bring on the trouble. Also, avoid fatty or greasy foods.

Good luck to you!

for me after 3 days on 500mg, then better after 5 days. Then after 3 days on 1000mg... and I couldn't handle another 2 days like that so I dipped back down to 500mg for now.
