I think that it really depends on the supplement, and what you are taking it for. It can take 2 months or more for your body to use the nutrients from nutritional supplements to replace the nutrient deficient cells with new healthy cells.
I have taken supplements for allergies, or inflammation, and felt the results within the hour, or overnight.

I assume you are talking about taking supplements that help with PCOS.
Every time I started taking herbs, and/or other things that kill yeast, my very next AF arrived on CD28 (instead of the usual 35-40 day cycle), so I noticed results with the very next cycle. The 2 times I was TTC, I became PG after the 3rd 28-day AF.

one month.
it also depends upon the atage of your symptom....if you start early the results are probably better.

but it takes 3 months for supplements to start their positive work.

Well, with the first herbs I was prescribed it took about a month, but then I didn't have any periods after the first one (I'm not TTC). That was in early November. I still take this first herbal formulation.

The second herbal formulation (Gui Zhi Fu Ling Wan) I started about 5-6 weeks ago, and AF started Sunday night. I'd been getting really weird movement in my lower abdomen for a few weeks, and now I'm really feeling bizarre mood swings, being really irrational, etc. I've been really struggling with my mood swings, trying to keep them under wraps at work.

We'll see if I can get regular using these two herbal formulations.

There should be a fourth option- Some work some didn't...that's how I feel about some of them. Saw Palmetto isn't making a difference, Evenin primrose either, but Cinnamon has been working great, and B-100 is working good too. As for the others, I dunno.

I've been taking Vitex for a while and am wondering if it is doing things behind the scenes that I'm not aware of.

I have noticed that I've been feeling a little more energetic, but I'm not sure if that's the Met or the Super B-Complex working...

Kat, sounds like the Super B-Complex to me...I am having the same results. No depression, and tons of energy nowadays. It's great!

I've been taking my supplements regularly for 30 days and combining it with a lower carb style eating plan. I am down more than 15 pounds and my cycles have decreased from 67 to 51 to 30 days. YAY! It's working!
