How long do you have to take vitex before it will bring on AF?

I tired it for 3 or 4 days and had some pretty bad stomach problems ,don't knowif it was from the Vitex or what.

was also taking GNC's womens mega vitamins and their bcomplex.I stopped all pills to let my liver have a break and will try the vitex byitself to try to figure out what was causing my urgent trips to the b/r,if you know what I mean?

34 yrs.old ,PCOS now for 17years,official DX. Oct. 03.
mother to twins boy and girl,3 yrs. old 2-28-02.,married since 97.
actos 30 mg's 7-16-04.
6-14-04 synthroid 75 mcg's per day. Wt. 220 ,5 ft 8in.
TTC again as of 5-20-05 w/o any help this time ,hoping for a miracle.

IT can take a while for vitex to really start showing you that it is working. it can take up to like 3 months. it is a vitamin that you have to be patient on. I wasn't patient with it at all so i never found out how long it would take to work.

I have been taking it for 7 months in March and recieved 1st AF with vitex alone. I actually believe I o'd too. It takes a while. Give it time. I kinda felt a little nauseated in the beginning and read somewhere to take it with food. Now I guess I just have a stomach of steel becuase it doesn't bother me.
