Default How long to wait for D&C?

I was wondering if somebody could help me with a painful subject. I was diagnosed with a missed miscarriage last Monday. My RE recommended waiting a week or two to see if I miscarry on my own. Six days later, and there doesn't seem to be anything happening. I am reluctant to have a D&C, but this is really starting to get to me.
TIA,
Katia

(((Hugs))) I am so sorry you are going though with this. I think it is time to schedule the D&C. I had one for my first pg. I am glad I chose it. Phyiscally, it was not painful. I was knocked out and when I woke up - I felt no pain. I spotted only for two - three days. Getting the physical aspect of the miscarriage over with allowed me to start the emotionally aspect of it with physical pain at the same time. Let us know what you decide and how you are doing.

I highly recommend the d&c....the last thing I wanted after all that I had been through was to do it at home. I didn't want to see it or hemmorage. I was awake for my d&c and my dh was with me for the whole time . It took no more than 10-15 minutes. I cramped during the procedure and spotted for 2-3 days. Physically, it is soooooooo much easier than m/c naturally. Unforutanately, the emotional pain is the same......hang in there!
