Question How long will I bleed?!

Hi there...I had my first (and hopefully last!) miscarriage, and I'm not sure when I'm going to stop bleeding. I wasn't very far along...it was too soon to really calculate. My OB things I may have miscalculated and that what I thought was AF from Jan 4-9 was actually implantation bleeding (it was lighter and shorter than my usual AF). Then what I thought was AF stopped, and I began bleeding again on Jan 14. I got several (and I mean SEVERAL) BFPs with HPTs and one at the doctor's office. I had hGC levels checked on Jan 22 (12) and Jan 24 (9) and I am 99% sure I passed the baby on Jan 26...minutes after I got the news that my hCG level dropped - as if I had been holding on until that moment. Based on that timeframe, when will this stop? It's a constant reminder and I'm really trying to work on...not moving on, but moving forward. It's much lighter now, and VERY dark brown without even a hint of red...but how long will this be normal? I've bled for the majority of January and I am so DONE!!!

I had a m/c at around 6 weeks, and I bled for a week, and then spotted for another 2.5. I think everyone is different. Hopefully its coming close to the end for you. Bleeding for so long and having that constant reminder is really hard. I'm so sorry. You named the baby Leilani Grace? That's really pretty.

i'm so sorry for your loss...when i m/c at 5 weeks, i bled light-med for a a few days and then started to bleed heavily with heavy cramping for a period that i no longer remember...i think it was a week or two (lighter at the end). advil was enough for my pain, though my MD had offered me heavier pain meds if needed. i hope this will be ur only m/c as well and that this time passes quickly for u....

My first, I spottted for about 10 days, then started to BLEED two days before they confirmed the loss. It had died at 5 weeks, though we have no idea how far along I actually was, my dates SHOULD have put me at about 11 weeks or something, but we concluded it must have been a late O. Anyway, after that, I bled for three more days then woke up one morning to flooding. I passed everything, and I do mean everything in one massive go over 24 hours. After that, I spotted for about a week and then it stopped.

This time, was a much much earlier loss. We think it was chemical. I had ONE clot, a tiny thing smaller than my pinky nail and moderate bleeding. I started bleeding last saturday, it stopped yesterday. So that's a full week? It eased up, then started again... eugh.

It can take a good few weeks as far as I know. All in all, from the time I started to spot with my first to the time I actually passed everything, it was about 2 or 3 weeks. I then waited 12 weeks for AF to show up again, so do be aware of that as well. It might take a while for everything to recover.

I'm so so sorry for your loss and I know what you mean about being done. You just want it to STOP so you can move forward yes? I've been like that, especially this time around. I just wanted it to be over quickly so I could move on, every time I see the blood it reminds me of what I lost, which makes it so much harder to forge ahead I suppose. I do hope it stops soon, and I do hope you get a good healthy sticky soon!

I had a m/c at 6 weeks or at least that is when it was confirmed. I spotted off and on for a couple weeks. Then I had real bleeding. Then I spotted off and on for 3 months, but my number got up over 11,000. I probably should have gone in for a D&C, but I wanted to do it naturally.

I had my d&e last wed. and my bleeding as been medium, and somedays none.. I called my Dr's office and they said spotting is a sign its almost over or brown bleeding and I could resume normal activities with spotting.. I think its common for the bleeding to linger, hang in there
