check in was at 6am. surgery at 7am. I woke up from surgery at 11:15 & was gone by noon. Before leaving you have to walk, pee, swallow water, & have a chest xray.

My neighbor had lapband and was also home the same day of surgery. I had the RNY and had surgery on Tuesday and went home Friday, I would have gone home on Thursday but due to my sleep apnea had to spend the 1st night in the Progressive Care Unit (a step down from ICU), but once I was fully recovered from anesthesia I recovered well.
