We are fiinishing the home study process this month and I am wondering from those who have gone before...how long was your wait between homestudy and the placement of your baby? I know every agency and situation is different, but I am just curious. Thank you!

Our homestudy was completed in October and then we matched with our birth parents in December and our baby was born in May!

Our homestudy was complete the first week of October and our son came home the day after Thanksgiving! I didn't know about ds until Thanksgiving Day and less than 24 hours later, I was home with our little boy. Even our social worker was amazed at how quickly we were chosen, but when it's meant to be, there's no stopping it!

I guess it depends on the type of adoption you do. We did a domestic adoption and our homestudy was done in December and our son was born 1 year and 4 months later in April.
