Hi Im new to the low carbing? I dont know what is too many carbs or do I cut out all carbs? Please help me. It is all very confusing. Is there a list of foods i should be eating? Should i be taking extra vitamins? PLEASE HELP!!
I am going through the same delima right now with the carbs. My doctor told me to do a LOW carb, NO sugar diet...Then others have told me I need to just cut out the carbs all together at first, then slowly work some back in but keep it to a minimum. The confusing thing is there are 2 different kinds of carbs in food. Some foods have carbs that are ok to have because they come in low amounts and your body breaks them down faster, then there are carbs to stay away from like the ones in bread because they are the ones who give us trouble.
The best thing to do would be to get some information on it, and find a diet that best fits you. If you cant cut out all the carbs at first, try just limiting them. The Atkins helps, and so does the Sugar Busters diet. My nutitionist told me it would be good to take vitamins to supplement the lack of things you need. A one a day multi vitamin works well, or there are other kinds that might work better for you. I hope this helps some.

i'm doing the zone diet (www.zoneperfect.com) and it will tell you how many carbs/protein/fats you can eat. i think it's 27 carbs, 21 protein and 9 fat per meal. i tried atkins for less than one day and it was too dramatic for me (but's just me).
good luck!
