I bought the facewash, and toner. And yes I saw results. Took a few days, but it is well worth the money. Vanessa Williams isn't lying....LOL.....

It did work for me for awhile then it seemed it just came to a stand still. So I stopped using it. I use Mary Kay skincare and it works pretty well for me. My acne is mainly the chin area and if keep some benzoyl peroxide on it, it does pretty good with occasional flare ups. I would at least give the Proactive a try. |

Points: 665.00 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 665.00 | Proactiv is a very good product overall. I have used this in the past but I have now switched. The main ingredient is Benzoyl Peroxide which if used in excess or if your skin is not accustomed to it, is very drying and sometimes makes the problem worse(flaky dry skin over oily skin). The product that I still use from the whole system is the acne cream, but only because I have lots of it left from my previous monthly orders. You can purchase just a plain benzoyl peroxide cream from any pharmacy. The toner that is provided is very good, but I found I went through it very fast. Proactive unfortunately does not fix the overall hormone problem in PCOS so you may find it helps for a while and then it may come back. I find now along with the Proactiv acne cream, I use a alpha/beta hydroxy toner (Clear Pore) by Neutrogena to exfoliate and 100% tea tree oil (you can dilute if sensitive skin) on a cotton pad wiped over face morning and night. Also in Canada there is a new product called @tmosphere Tea Tree Oil stick with witch hazel. It is absolutely amazing for helping your skin. Maybe before spending the large amount on Proactiv to try something like tea tree, it is AMAZING for acne, etc. Tea tree is antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral. Sorry so long, hope this helps Sarah

Just a heads up if you have sensitive skin procative MAY NOT be your best choice, sure it says all skin types, but I did not react well with this sometimes harsh combo of washes, I now wash with cetaphil, and have clearer skin than ever......
The proactive made me break out worse that I ever had, so bad that not even makeup would help it! Just don't want to see any of you "sensitive cysters" hehe.... make my mistake!
I do know lots of friends (mostly non-cysters) who use this stuff and it works very well for them!
Best of luck! Let us know what you decide!

Good luck!

Points: 93.00 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 93.00 | CVS and Rite Aid both make "generic" Proactiv-type skin care packages, but I haven't found anything really helpful about them or the real deal. I do love the Proactiv skin mask though. It works wonders!!!! If you want to try Proactiv for less buy it through an eBay seller. I bought 5 tubes of the mud mask for $20 so I'm stocked for a while now. Origins "Get Out of Trouble" Emergency Mask is a very similar product but it costs more. I have sensitive combination breakout skin and I love Origins. I buy it online cause it's too expensive in the department store or at their boutique but in just a few weeks it's made an incredible difference in the feel and appearance of my skin. Good luck with whatever regimen you choose! |

I have cancelled my order but I still got a few kits left. When I can afford it I may use it again but when these run out I will use noxema or Neutragena that is what I used in high school though it never went away it did help some.

The only downfall for me, was once I used it for 2 months, I seemed to build up a resistance to it. It stopped working. It was great when it worked!! All people are different...but the claim they make, seems to be real! I use over-the-counter Neosporin and Mederma. Neo for new acne and Mederma for the scarring. It has been the best I have found in 10 years...much cheaper as well.

and yeah, when you're looking for any otc drug, including acne products, it's best to look at the ingredients instead of the brand names. proactiv=benzoyl peroxide=many other drugstore products. as well as cold medicines, pain medicines, etc. save yourselves some $! |

Points: 6,068.19 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 6,068.19 | I have been using proactiv for less than two weeks and my skin is better than it has ever been. I have NO zits right now, and the three that I have gotten since starting the treatment disappeared within a day. I used to have spots everywhere, especially around my jaw line from tweezing and using creams. Even those are gone! I feel better about myself than I have in a long time. It's definitely worth trying. And I only use it once a day (at night) because it is drying. And if you think about it, it's not so expensive. If it lasts for two months, which it's supposed to, it's only a little over 20 dollars a month. I use much less powder and almost no concealer now, so it saves me money there, plus I am no longer buying my 4 dollar cleansing bar, 11 dollar toner, and 3 dollar acne cream. And since it's working so much better, I feel like the extra bucks are worth it.
My skin tone is much better too- I had pretty blotchy skin before.
