Hi Girls - well I was an interesting case. Going in, I knew I may be freezing all, because I have a tendency to overstim. I did wind up with OHSS, but nothing that was unmanageable.
I would up with 72 follicles, 48 eggs, 43 mature, 33 fertilized (with ICSI - they did this last minute, still not sure why since we'd never had a SA problem). In the end we wound up with 18 perfect Blasts for freezing. I am doing my FET now.
I think the whole thing is such a gamble. Knowing what I know now, I obviously wouldn't do a shared risk program since i have so many embryos but I didn't know this until 5 days after my retrieval. It is a hard decision. I would weigh out the cost of say 1 IVF and 2 FET vs. the shared risk program. Good luck and KUP!

Britta - Thank you. Believe it or not I was really OK. I have a hold tolerance for pain/discomfort, but I really never was that bad. I got uncomfortable about 3 days before ER and then when the OHSS weight set it I was uncomfortable and crampy. Really nothing to complain about! Congrats on the twins and welcome to your 2Tri!!!

Mara - I think it was a shock even to me - they never said they saw 72 follies more like 55-60. There were only 48 eggs, but still a little crazy. PCOS is a crazy disease!

Holy Moly Niki! that is a LOT of follicles! Good luck with your FET!!
I am curious about everyone's protocol? I probably should have put this in my original question, but I am wondering if you wouldn't mind sharing what protocol you used that led to the best result?
for how long were you on BCPs?
were you on Lupron? for how long?
what drug(s) did you stim with (follistim? gonal-f, menopur? other?)?
what drug did you trigger with?
were you on other meds (e.g., metformin?)? for how long?
what was your result with regard to eggs produced? fertilized? made it to 3 or 5 day? any left to freeze?
any other pertinent info that you thing affected your result?
Thanks ladies!

Dx with PCOS in my early 20's
June 2009 - started TTC
September 2009 - 1st IUI attempt with Clomid + Follistim - BFN
I knew from my injectables cycle that I would over-respond (slight hyperstimmulation on follistim). They were cautious with my protocol and produced 17 follicles after a little over a week of stimming. 14 of these contained eggs, and 12 made it to blastocyst stage. We implanted one 4AA blastocyst. 1 4AA and 1 3AA were also available. I do not know the grade of the rest (11 day 6 blasts frozen), but my nurse and the doctors kept repeating that they were all very high quality.
I do not think that PCOS prevents high quality eggs. Unfortunately I think one of the most important factors in egg quality is age (I am young), and also any male issues (fortunately my DH had stellar sperm).

Hey there - I hope to give you all my success rate soon. FET is underway, and I'm not sure how many it will take but I have 18 great day 5 embryos, I thought they were day 6, but I was wrong.
for how long were you on BCPs? 3 weeks before Lupron
were you on Lupron? for how long? Whole cycle but 20units for about 2 weeks then down to 5units through stimming
what drug(s) did you stim with (follistim? gonal-f, menopur? other?)? 1 Menopur (A.M.) and 112.5units of Gonal-F PM with the Lupron 5units
what drug did you trigger with? HcG (1/2 dose at 5,000 instead of 10,000)
were you on other meds (e.g., metformin?)? for how long? Been on Metformin since 1/08 so approx. 21 months before IVF.
what was your result with regard to eggs produced? fertilized? made it to 3 or 5 day? any left to freeze? 18 made it to blast stage on Day 5. 15 others made it day 6 but weren't a good enough quality to freeze (with the 18 other excellent). They didn't give me a choice, just said we're freezing the 18 best then sent me a letter.

for how long were you on BCPs? 14 days on provera; no period after 14 days off provera; so they added an 14 additional days on provera
were you on Lupron? for how long? Started Lupron 10U on the last 7 days of BCPs. I was on Lupron for 13 days prior to starting the stims, then continued until egg retrieval day
what drug(s) did you stim with (follistim? gonal-f, menopur? other?)? follistim (my LH is super high, so no menopur)
what drug did you trigger with? HCG 10,000
were you on other meds (e.g., metformin?)? for how long? antibiotics (for DH, too), and medrol (immunosuppressant)
what was your result with regard to eggs produced? 17 mature eggs
fertilized? 14 follicles
made it to 3 or 5 day? 12 made it to day 5
any left to freeze? 1 was implanted and the remaining 11 were frozen on day 6
