I'm possibly starting Clomid at the end of this month. Is there a max to how many rounds of Clomid someone can do? Just curious.......I'm so nervous. I want it to work.

I think the concensus is 6 cycles of clomid. Apparently if it hasn't worked by then, there is little likelyhood that it will work and clomid has been known to harm the uterine lining.
That being said I know there are some women who have taken more than 6 cycles so it really depends on your DR. This is my last round per my DR... fingers tightly crossed!!
Good luck!

I second everything nikkisix said. My RE also only allows six. Hopefully it will work well for you, but in the event that it doesn't, know that there are quite a few alternatives (Femara, gonadotropins, etc.).
I agree with the others. I did 4 rounds and the 4th finally worked...

"Cycle" and "round" are generally used interchangeably when talking about fertility treatments/TTC. "Cycle" usually refers to your menstrual cycle (meaning the time from the first day of one period until the day before your next period). Ideally, of course, this would be a month, but with PCOS...well, don't bet on it. "Round" usually refers to the course of medication; so, one round of Clomid is the five pills you take during a given menstrual cycle. Does that clarify things?
my dr. said he will only allow me to take it 6 months. He was saying anything longer than that and there could be some long term side effects from it. I got preg. on my 4th round but unfortunately i miscarried last week. I will hopefully be put back on clomid in December.
