Default How many years have you guys been on Met?

I have been on Met 6 months! Just got up to 1500mgs.No AFs yet but hopefully soon.I am eating better and doing some cardio!!!

I have been on met for 2 years in February. I actually got af 1 1/2 months after starting it. But it does take some woman up to a year before they actually see results.

I have been on metformin for 17 months now. I had my first period about 3 months after getting to 1500mgs.

4 years for me too. I started off on 1000 mg and worked my way up to 2000. I found that my sugar cravings were WORSE on 2000 then on 1500. My doc thought it was due to another med I was taking so she dropped me back to 1500. I had a "normal bleed" prior to the met. GL

I've been taking 2000 mg of Met for 4.5 years. I was prescribed Met for diabetes, although I had been diagnosed with PCOS many years before that.

Met 2000mg since 2001, started Glucophage XR 4/22/04, then switched to Met ER 6/04; also: multi, Vit. C, Vit. E, B12/folic acid combo, fish oil & borage oil combo, garlic capsules, cinnamon, Vitex, calcium with magnesium/zinc, biotin, CoQ10, selenium,iron
Other meds: Verapamil and Altace(for blood pressure)
Started laser hair removal 7/29/03, completed 3/04 (it works!)
UAE for fibroid 3/24/03 and 3/16/04
