I have dark have on my arm too. The only time some one said something about it was when I shaved it. I now just leave it. My sister thinks I should shave it but I don't think it's worth the time and effort. When I get the money I'll laser.

i just waxed my forearms today. i've been doin this for a while and i have to say i'm pleased. unfortunately, it costs money to have your arms and face shaved every month. the rest i wax myself.

it takes much more time for the redness to pass on my legs and tummy than on my forearms. even though they're packed with hairs, the leg and tummy hairs are much much thicker. i'm thinking about using the epilator as soon a hair pops on my arm. if i did it like that i think it wouldnt hurt as much.

if someone asks me if i shave my arms i just say that i have loads of hair on my arms and that this is much more beautiful we're grown up ppl. we shouldnt look on things like that as weird.

My arm hair has always bothered me. I can't wait until I get laser hair removal.

I have a problem with hair on my forearms. I got it lasered several years ago but of course it came back. I dont believe laser is a long term solution. It did help somewhat though. So what I do is have it re-lasered once a year, this basically keeps only the thinner, blonder hairs growing so it looks more feminine and natural. I've been having it done for so long now that they dont charge me much at the laser center so its worth it. It turns out to be much cheaper than having them waxed every two weeks.

My hair never used to bother me, but as I've gotten older I've noticed it "spreading" and getting darker and longer. So now I'm SUPER self-conscious about it. The most annoying trouble spots for me are my forearms, my fingers and my toes. Who wants to wear cute strappy sandals with ucky toes?! Those are pretty easy to take care of, but lately I haven't even been wearing my engagement ring (just my wedding band) to avoid drawing attention to my fingers/hands and arms. My mom made a comment about me being a little wooly bear the other day and I just about imploded with embarassment! My chest and belly are annoying too, but I can hide those most of the time. My poor DH has never ever said anything, but I'm so afraid that he's just being nice and trying to ignore something hideous!

I used to shave my arms throughout school, but now that I am 27 it seems that my hairs gotten lighter more blonde. It's still more hair then my friends and I'll sometimes shave it, but I've come to realize that it's very itchy LOL So I haven't done that in a really long time. I don't really think about it cause if someone is going to make fun of something I can't help, then screw them! Hehe. I have enough going on in my life that I don't need to hear it! Ya know?!?!

Oh sweet candycarlina you are not a chia pet. If you have dark hair I suggest laser treatment if you can afford it. I have hair everywhere, and god knows I hate it. If you decide to wax remember the pain is only temporary.

Ditto. My sister has the same semi-hairy arms, and she does not have PCOS. I think it's just a family trait. I've also noticed other women with hairier arms but no facial hair.

Unhappy

I too have this problem. For years I was able to pluck. Then they went nuts and I had to start shaving them and my face. Now they come in so stickery! Guess I will be the hairy woman in the nursing home one day! Beard, mustache and arms! I am 40 now and probably am stuck shaving al this forever!

I'll be right next to you two at the nursing home, lol. I have VERY hairy forearms. I used to be so embarrassed by it and used Nair on it a lot but now I rarely do. My boyfriend doesn't mind it so why should I worry about it, right?
